DETAILS AND UPDATED INFORMATION ABOUT THE 11 PLUS IN SOUTH WEST HERTS
The South West Herts Consortium examination is an academic entry test to the following schools:
- Watford Grammar School for Boys
- Watford Grammar School for Girls
- Parmiters School
- Bushey Meads
- Rickmansworth School
- St Clement Danes School
- Queens School
This September there will be a change in the examination, in that the test will now set a verbal reasoning paper using the GL examining body. This move, away from CEM- Durham’s Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring, is not a great surprise , as the Consortium seek to change up their material regularly, to provide the right level of challenge and ensure tests do not become predictable.
What this means for current Year 5 students, is that they must familiarise themselves with the differences in material and possibly incorporate some more code based and logic based questions into their revision programme.
Keep an eye on the South West Herts Consortium website for new familiarisation papers coming soon.
